flip82 responds:

Where the hell is the kick?

Is something wrong with my headphones, because there is no kick. I just hear a tom or something. Wheres the KICK?

Dj-Brand0 responds:

There's definetly a kick in there but it's a hardstyle kick and doesn't quite have much Oomph, I guess you want me to layer in a club kick that has some low freq's so you get more thumping.

It's easily fixed and I'll try get to that today.

Thanks for the honest review.

Oh my god

So smooth.

Downloaded.

SineRider responds:

cool cool :)

congrats.

You used loops. From garageband. used a high instrument. All loops except a bad melody. Really. Compose your own music.

nimble-nick responds:

Again... it was one of my first projects, and I have composed my own music, a lot of it actually, I'm in a band and have been in several bands, this was just a piece of music I felt like sharing... i'd love for you to see the rest of my work on newgrounds... but I warn you, watch out... you're bound to find loops... cause we don't all play every instrument known to man.

What?

Sounds a bit like black tide, other metal bands at this tempo. All I can tell you is that the guitar is good, drums are good, like harmonics on breakdown. LOVE ZE BREAKDOWN. greaat job man!

Metaljonus responds:

Thanks! Black tide is pretty cool.

The electric distorted fake guitar

That guitar at :50 just sounds like a violin on distortion and ruins the chill funk mood. I love how the kick is just not really quite a kick, but it makes everything else lower and stuff if you get what I mean. I like all the synths you used like at 1: 48 I like the breakdown there. Overall a solid track. Is that real guitar?

durn responds:

well, it's a guitar patch on the sampler in reason. I'm guessing it's likely a real recording, most of the propellerhead samples for the NN-XT are.

and yeah, I used sidechain compression to achieve the ducking effect you're speaking of where the dB of key elements dip to the beat. :)

and yeah, should've stuck with the same synth in the 8 bars before, would've flowed nicer. :) thanks for the review.

ARGH

That sound is TOOOOOO HIIIGH

Fix it.

Chaz responds:

Why don't you just turn your speakers down?

Beautiful

I really love how it's still trippy. It fits everything so well. I like the sitar too. Good job.

sorohanro responds:

Thanx man, thanx.
Trippy reverb and delay always help :) it's "instant 70s" when used :))
